Highlights of past weeks

Hey everyone. I know I'm slackin' with my blogs. You know I don't mean to keep y'all out of the loop...my days have just been filled to the maximum capacity. Here are a few updates on what's been going on with the Hatcher fam! These are in no particular order.

This pic was taken at the Denver Zoo a few weeks ago. During the summer a lot of the moms within our church schedule weekly playdates so as not ato lose touch during the months we are not participating in our women's bible studies. We have a lot of fun every week getting together for the sole purpose of wearing our kids out. All the kids get along great and love the playtime. This picture does not even show all of them. I think there are about 3-4 kids missing not counting the babies in the strollers. Next, are pics from our annual Parker Days Festival. Our town holds a great festival every year with plenty of activities for the kids. There are food booths, arts and crafts, local vendors, a parade, and lots of games and rides. This year we went with a good friend of mine and the kids that she used to nanny. This was during the time Jimmy was working long hours so he was not able to join us in the fun. The kids had a blast riding all the rides and visiting all the booths. Emily loved the giant slide. Lets see what else...oh yeah, the slippin' slide day.

I think it was Memorial Day weekend when these were taken. Our neighbor set it up between our two yards and the kids went to town. This was Emily's first attempt at the slip and slide and after a few times going backward on her belly she got used to it. By the end of the day she was running and sliding down on her knees like a pro. It was fun but a little windy so if you're wondering why the kids lips are blue....well, now you know.

This pic was of course taken on Father's Day. The girls spotted this super cool t-shirt for their "Super Dad" and had to get it. It was a great day! We celebrated all day with all dad's favorite things...homemade key lime pie, Coldstone Cake Batter ice cream (with additional mix-ins) and a dinner fit for a king. Steak, fresh corn-on-the-cob, caesar salad and giant crescent rolls. Ummm, ummm, good! And the icing on the cake....at the end of the day the Lord blessed us with a beautiful double rainbow right above our home. It just doesn't get much better!
