Special Day

Today was a really special day for us, especially for Peyton. Peyton got baptized. She accepted Jesus into her life last year, but finally got to be baptized today. Our church had a swim/bbq/baptism night a neighborhood pool this evening. It was a lot of fun.

The kids got to try out their new swimming skills a little bit, and I only had to save Andy's life twice in the 3 hour period. Needless to say, I was not able to truly relax until it was actually time to do the baptism.

I captured it on film for all to see. It was such a great moment. It made me cry....of course to see my sweet little girl swim (after only 4 weeks of swim lessons) out to Louie and Rick and get baptized in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit! We all celebrated, and it was an awesome night!

Back to school

Today is the first day of the 2007-08 school year for my kiddos. They are both so excited.....not to mention MOM!

We've been spending the past couple days doing some clothes shopping. I've been everywhere trying to find all the good deals. Still, to my advantage, the girls can still wear the same size. As long as I buy the adjustable waist pants, we're good to go!

Since we live in CO, I have learned to buy things that can be layered. Right now, it is still hot, so the girls can still wear a lot of summer stuff. There is a dress code rule that they can't wear any kind of spaghetti strap shirts. Since we have a few of those for summer, I came up with a genius idea so as to get some more wear out of those summer tops. I found some of those little shoulder cover-up's at GAP for, get this.......99 cents. Peyton is actually wearing one of them in the picture. Plus, with the style these days, you can apparently just put another solid shirt under the spaghetti strapped shirt and GO! Ok, enough of my style/trend talk.

Peyton is off to 1st grade today. It is so nice having at least one kid that goes ALL day to school. She told me yesterday that she's "been waiting her whole life to ride the bus home". I'm so glad that today her life-long wish is coming true! No, really.....I'm SO GLAD!!!!

Emily is officially a Kindergartener, and a first-time bus rider! Wow! Big stuff! She posed for her picture like a true girl, showing off her brand new Tinkerbell backpack and everything. Unfortunately, she only goes half-day, so I'll be off the pick her up soon.

Me and Andy will be hanging together for the next school year. It is quite nice, because he is the most layed back kid ever! He's so easy! Plus, it will be good to have some one-on-one time with him. Will be doing all boy stuff! Dinosaurs, cars, playing with rollie-pollies, etc. It's gonna be great!

Oh, I'm posting a pic of Andy in his "sleeping cap". It looks like it is day time because of the flash, but really this is how we've found him a few times this week. He likes that cowboy hat!

Just for fun, the guys decided to recreate their "Testimony" pic from back in the day. Thanks to Friend 5's Mother we were able to get a hold of the picture and scan it into the computer to make some copies. Ahhhh.....memories!

Party Pics

Here are the party pics as promised. I know there are a lot, but you know me. This should be enough pics to make you feel like you were there, even if you weren't.
